This random website generator exists because the modern internet has gotten boring. Everything is an algorithm. Every feed is a loop of the same content, optimized to keep you exactly where you already are.
I built this as an antidote. One button. No feed. No recommendations. Just a genuine leap into the unknown, the same feeling you got clicking a random hyperlink in 1999.
Every site in the vault was hand-picked. That means no SEO spam, no content farms, no clickbait aggregators. Just weird experiments, forgotten classics, educational rabbit holes, and tools that make you go "wait, this exists?"
The collection spans four categories (Weird, Games, Learn, and Art & Chill) and grows whenever I find something worth adding.
How the list is kept
Cedrick Reese built Random Site Generator by hand, one page with no feed and no cookies. Every address in the list was picked by a person, and the button draws from it at random right in your browser, skipping anything you've already seen this session. Reader submissions get a look before they go in. When a link breaks, a domain changes hands, or someone reports a problem through the contact page, that site comes out of the list.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, but intelligently so. The portal picks from the curated vault using a no-repeats system, so you won't see the same site twice in a session. Once you've exhausted a category, the pool resets. You can also filter by category (Weird, Games, Learn, Art & Chill) to narrow the randomness.
I review every site before it goes in the vault. That said, the internet changes. Domains expire, get sold, or get hacked. I do my best to recheck the list regularly, but I can't guarantee every link is clean at every moment. If you find a broken or unsafe link, please report it through the Submit a Site link and I'll pull it from the list.
Not you personally. Visits are counted with Umami, a self-hosted analytics tool that doesn't use cookies and doesn't collect anything that identifies you. It records things like which page was viewed, the site that sent you, your browser, device type, and country. The site counter and visit history run in your browser's memory and are wiped the moment you close the tab. Sites you save with the heart button, and your light or dark theme choice, are kept in your own browser's local storage and never leave your device.
Absolutely. That's how the vault grows. Tap the Submit a Site link just below the big button and send me the URL with a quick note about why it belongs here. I look at every submission and add the ones that fit.
Some browsers block pop-ups and new tabs unless triggered directly by a click. Make sure you allow pop-ups from this site in your browser settings. If a destination site has gone offline since it was last checked, you'll also land on a dead page. Let me know through the contact page if that happens and I'll pull it from the list.
Not yet. The web version works great on mobile, though. Just add it to your home screen for an app-like experience. On an iPhone, tap Share in Safari and choose Add to Home Screen. On Android, open Chrome's three-dot menu and choose Add to Home Screen. A native app might come eventually if there's enough demand.
